The Women Division is the heart of Barnett Ellman and has been since the agency opened in 2007. Our board deliberately spans the full spectrum of working fashion: high-editorial faces who anchor magazine covers, runway specialists who walk the four major weeks, commercial talent who carry national campaigns, and beauty models whose skin, hands and profile close cosmetics contracts. We keep the board intentionally small. Every agent at B|E manages a limited roster, which means every model gets an actual strategy — not a spot in a database.

Representation with us begins with an honest conversation about positioning. Which markets suit your look right now? Which clients should you meet this season, and which should wait until your book is stronger? Where do rates sit for your level, and how do we push them up without burning relationships? These are the questions our agents answer daily, and the answers change as your career moves.

What Representation Includes

Every model on the Women board receives full-service management. That covers the visible work — castings, options, confirmations, fittings and show packages during fashion month — and the invisible work that actually determines earnings: contract review, usage and territory negotiation, invoice collection and payment chasing, visa support for international placements, and coordinated mother-agency relationships when you travel to partner agencies in Paris, Milan, London and Tokyo.

Career strategy: seasonal planning, market rotation and client targeting reviewed with you every quarter.
Booking and negotiation: rates, usage rights, exclusivity clauses and renewals handled by senior agents.
Portfolio direction: curated testing with photographers we trust, so your book says exactly what it should.

How We Work With Clients

Brands and casting directors come to the Women Division because our packages are precise. We do not send forty options and hope; we send eight that fit the brief, with accurate measurements, current digitals and confirmed availability. That discipline — a habit from our founders' entrepreneurial days, when the agency was two people and a Flash website — is why clients who booked us in 2008 still book us now.

Joining The Women Board

We review every application personally, and there is never a fee to apply or to be represented — the agency earns commission only when you do. If you are new to the industry entirely, start with our New Faces division, which handles scouting and development before talent graduates to the main board. If you already have experience and a book, apply directly through the contact page with your stats, location and current representation status. We respond to every serious application within five business days.
